Adoption
At Cindy's K-9 Angels, our most important mission is to seek out caring, nurturing homes for our rescued animals. The adoption of a rescued animal is not a simple undertaking. Adopting and caring for a rescued animal requires love, patience, time and money. But most of all, it requires a desire to positively affect the life of a living creature in desperate need of help – a life that most certainly would have ended in tragedy, had caring people – like you – not taken action.
We go to great lengths to ensure our rescued animals are as fit for adoption as possible. Each animal's situation is unique, but rescuing any animal always requires an investment of time and money. Our adoption fees begin at $175. To better understand and appreciate why these fees are necessary and how they are utilized, refer to Our Rescue.
Adoption Process
- You review our Current Angels listing and identify your animal(s) of interest.
- You complete the adoption application and send/deliver it to the address at the bottom of this page. (Adobe Reader required)
- We check the references you provide.
- You meet your animal(s) of interest.
- We visit your home to assess the suitability of the environment for the potential adoptee(s).
- We complete the adoption contract and you pay the adoption fee.
- You take custody of your animal(s) and we snap a photo to share with our visitors!
Note: Please keep in mind that any delays in completing these steps may result in missing out on the animal(s) of your choice.
Holds
If your potential adoptee is not yet ready for adoption and you request that we hold him/her (once you have been approved), a non-refundable deposit of $50 will be required. No animal(s) will be held without a deposit. Thank you for your cooperation.
